Grading
Our oak sleepers are rough cut, so may feature waney edges and bark. As garden grade sleepers, they will typically feature on good edge and one good face. The sleepers arrive to us fresh sawn, but may partially season before being despatched from our yard. As the beams continue to dry, they may develop some shakes and splits, but there will be no structural impact given their size.

Usage
Sleepers are ideal when used in retaining walls and the construction of raised beds / vegetable patches. We recommend that sleepers are joined together when used in this fashion, for which our sleeper pins are idea.
